My surprise for Heather

Yarn
Actually, Heather showed me this pattern about 6 weeks ago when I was showing her some baby clothes I'd like to make for her. I figured it would make a great gift for her baby shower today. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. It's a lightweight blend of wool and llama.

My attempt at the Victorian Lace Shawl (aka knitters heaven/hell) *GRINS* Not A Baby Shawl! oh for pete's sake...just go look *grins*

I was expecting a baby shawl and was quite surprised when I clicked the link. ;)

Gorgeous! You did a mighty fine job, Miss Deborah!

That's awesome!

How funny that I've only ever knit one shawl and it turns out it's the same one. It's a great pattern though, since it uses worsted weight yarn. It's not so delicate that you end up afraid to wear it. :)

Here's mine if you want to see:

It's Knit Picks Andean Silk, a alpaca/silk/merino blend. It looks like mine blocked out a bit smaller then yours though, but I'm a super tight knitter (ouch my hands!) so that may be why.

Simply amazing. I should get my schedule after this week (I'm heading to Florida for a week), and then we will definately set up a day for lunch, knitting and fun. :)
