Bohemian...who'd have thought it?

This was a cool test because you couldn't easily guess which answer was for which element. And the summary really is very much like my current headspace.

Your result for Personality Elements Assay...

Bohemian

You have one of the seven Air personalities. This group thrives on creativity, originality, and imagination. Some people venture outside the box on occasion, but you would rather live outside the box as much as possible and only deal with the box at all when dissimilar types of people require it. If you were a doctor and everyone were trying to treat patients suffering from Small Pox, you'd be off doing something goofy like spinning jars full of cow's blood around your head. Imagine.

Concepts like right and wrong or even correct and incorrect are just impediments to slow down the free flow of ideas and emotions, as far as you are concerned. Life should be about making cool stuff and doing cool stuff, not about worrying. Relationships with other people are a fluid thing for you. There are some people you seem to stick around forever, and others who pass by with hardly a trace. Of course, "forever" is a relative term. Sometimes a year is forever.

Confused / Confusing

This is the middle category, and the most difficult to describe. After a few thousand test takers, I found there were two main groups of people who fell into this category. The first group were people who skipped questions. The way the scoring works, you really need to answer all the questions and futhermore not choose the same choice twice in a group of four. To those people who filled out the test correctly and scored here "for real", let me apologise for having to wade through the comment about the incorrect testers. Unfortunately the "error group" seems to outnumber you by a considerable margin.

With only 16 questions, I really can't tell the difference between not having strong feelings (apathy) and having strong feelings in balance with each other (ambivalence).  I wonder which describes you.

Among those people who score here for real, there is an overwhelming disproportion of young people. OKC divides the stats into the 19&under bucket, then 20-24, and so on. Well over 90% of the people who scored this category (other than those in the "error group") are under 24, and the proportion of 19&unders is even higher. This is the most common category with room to spare for those under 24, and the rarest category for those over 30. For you statistics geeks like me, this is two deviations above the mean(under 24), compared to one and a half below (30 and up). The most common job is "student" and the most common major among the students is "undeclared"

I also get lots of reports from the more eloquent members of this age group that they could easily have ordered their choices differently. My theory is that the questions I've asked are based on feelings of what is important, and that those feeling get reinforced by experience. Many of the younger test takers just haven't fixed their opinions and values on those subjects, so the test doesn't measure them.

As for the older (40+) test takers who score this category (without being in the error group), you are overwhelmingly significantly less likely to have had children, but I haven't been able to pin down much beyond that.  Sorry.

It kind of...doesn't! I am neither apathetic nor ambivalent. I am also not a teenager. I am over 40 and childless though.

You like to improve on what has gone before. Merely following a good answer someone else made isn't your ideal situation. You want to have some part of the idea be your own, and you want the result to be right and really work. Purely abstract ideas and visions aren't enough for you. Given the choice between being praised for mediocre work versus doing excellent work that isn't noticed, you would rather do things right. You are happier when you get to change things in important ways.

Bohemian:
0 Earth, 8 Air, -8 Fire and 0 Water!

I don't like this quiz though. Either the author is far more clever than I'm giving him credit for, or my values are completely out of sync with his. On the first two lists, and much of the last one, I could've put those items in just about any order at all because they aren't even on the radar of my values.

In the first grouping, "Having friends" is the only thing of importance, and then I'm such an introvert that I only need a couple. If ranking that first makes me sound like a social butterfly or someone who hates to be alone, it's *completely* wrong.

In the second set, I don't know that any of those things are important. "Playfulness" is a bonus, but I don't think it's a requirement for friendship. Still, I had to rank it first because it was the only one of the four that matter at all to me. As to the other three, *shrug*

The only list I felt like I could rank in good conscience, like I really had any kind of preference for the order of any of those things, was the business one, and I *HATE* the business world.

Definitely a very weird quiz.

Pure Water

-3 Earth, -2 Air, 0 Fire and 5 Water!

You have one of the seven Water personalities. Water is the solvent that blends things together and flows through pretty much everything alive. Water personalities tend to care about the connections between people and emotions and caring. If you were a doctor, you'd care about how your patient felt.

For you it is all about the relationships. Sure the rest of life matters, but without the people, you just wouldn't care. You know how to get things done when you have to, but that really isn't what motivates you on a day to day basis. The notion of right and wrong has its place in your life, but you figure that if no one gets hurt and breaking some rule makes things easier for people, why not? Your creative side isn't exactly absent, but it isn't what you live for. You have a lot of capacity for connecting with people, either deeply or broadly, or both.
