I was told about a web seminar by my compliance officer. I attended it and saw a really awesome application that I thought we could use. I brought it up to a few folks and Brian in IT looked into feasibility and pricing. Had one of my teammates sit in on a second presentation. Since I brought it up, it got handed to me to do a formal presentation to my manager and the CEO. I did some work with the numbers and showed them the cost.
The product allows me to create custom messages for our members and a different message for folks who don't belong to our credit union who use our ATMs. I can customize all the screens with marketing messages. I can even make them offers of additional information which they can have printed or opt out. It won't make the time it takes to bank at an ATM any longer since it uses the "please wait" and "thank you" screens.
The cost is $37k, so it had to be accepted by the board of directors, who met last night. My CEO told me to create an ROI sheet for her to present. I had one page to make the numbers make sense to invest in this.
I just heard...they accepted the proposal! I get this new application! I am really quite thrilled!
Not bad for someone who was recently told "you are not the art department." *smug*
