I have the worst case of the giggles.

So...many of you may remember what happened on the Spring Equinox two years ago. (quick recap for new readers: Husband calls because he forgot his wallet. I put on his slippers and run it out to him. Decide to flash him for fun and on my way up the front steps I trip with his slippers and shatter my wrist joint.)

Today is the Autumn Equinox. Brian's been gone 10 minutes when I see him pull back up into the driveway. He comes in and sheepishly says he's forgotten his wallet. This time, he doesn't call...he just comes in to get it.

So...I'm still flashing, but he's no longer chancing being the impetus for my clumsiness.

I had to share, I'm still cracking up about him not calling.

ow!

did you end up with a scar?

I did indeed. It's become a great conversation starter!

I had 2 surgeries, one to put in a 5" metal restrictor bar, and another to take it out 4 months later. The scar is 5" long starting at the middle of the back of my hand and continuing straight down my arm. It's faded a lot in 2 years, but it's noticeable. Only one person has even made a negative comment on how it looks, but what are brother-in-laws for if not to harass? My friend Joy, who visited from California this weekend, said it's fascinating. I'll believe her. She's delightfully artsy.

I plan on getting a nice tattoo to make it look more interesting. I'm planning a large dragonfly where the scar would be the length of it's body and the wings wrapping over my hand. Simple thin line tattoo with dimensional shading, with the lightest touch of color in the lace of the wings.
