My back is made of ouch, but I am very happy that I got 6 quarts of tomato sauce and 7 quarts of crushed tomatoes canned today. That's what a full bushel of tomatoes netted me this year.
Brian sent me out yesterday afternoon to get a food mill. I got an OXO food mill and it really saved time and waste! I'm so glad I got it.
Later this week a 23 1/2 All-American pressure canner will be delivered and I will christen it with a bushel's worth of tomato soup! I made one last year that was stellar and I can't wait to make enough to enjoy over the winter months. I'm thinking I can easily can up 14 quarts. *salivates*
With the pressure canner, I can start making my own stocks, as well. That will be a real treat.
