The financial institution I work for employs approximately 125 people and has about $200 million in deposits yearly. That makes it a moderately large credit union. Lots of room for growth, and yet large enough that we are noticed by the big players.
I have a personal goal to help them produce more award winning marketing campaigns. I saw that we won one about 2 years ago. I want us to get another.
This morning, I woke up to this email from the CEO responding to a major promotion I just worked on for our commercial business department."Wow Debra, it all looks terrific! You are some marketer!
[snip of some to-do stuff]
Thanks for making my day! Have I told you lately that I love you?
Someone recently said "You were brave to open your own business. Now you are brave enough to keep moving forward." I made the right decisions and I will never suffer the regret of wishing I'd have tried. I didn't fail. I took what I had, sized it to what I could support, and found others ways to feel vital and vibrant and still get all the bills paid.
Karen told me that she's going to get me training on the demographic database of our member's information so that I can better look at the raw data and develop reports and pinpoint areas of marketing potential. She also brought me in to a meeting yesterday where we were evaluating a program we might purchase. I told her how excited I was to get the information and could list marketing opportunities. She lit up seeing that the credit union finally has someone who can see and manage this information. Why pay for gathering info when no one uses it?!
