Our Solstice Altar/Feast 2007 (click for additional photo)
Please notice that my husband got me a holiday tree after all. Not the 5 footer we had planned, but a little decorated beauty that we will plant this spring!!!
We got some fabulous cheese at the farmers market yesterday. Ginger/Mango White Stilton, Cranberry Wesleydale, Huntsman Stilton and Double Gloucester. We also got 1/2 lb of giant shrimp (that was 5 shrimp!), fresh baklava, navel oranges, a French baguette, Ritz and Cracked Pepper Triskets, and a summer sausage for our finger food feast after ritual.
We seemed to have chosen a music theme for presents this year (except for the awesome drum carder that Brian got me as well, but it does have drum in the name, so it counts as part of the theme). CDs for me, vinyl for him.
The two large ritual candles are still lit. I love waking on the first full day of winter and wandering through the dark house to be greeting by those candles welcoming me to keep watch with them.
Fresh starts. Good moments. Happy Holidays.
