So, here's the thing. When I was sick a couple of weeks ago, I felt it coming on. I filled myself with an herbal cocktail to keep my immune system steady. I called in to work early on to sleep it off. I made myself healthy food to help kick it out of my system. I determined the best OTC drugs and drank 1/2 gallon of orange juice a day. As a result of paying attention to my health, I was able to keep this as a simple head cold. It never turned into infection, it never reached my lungs.
Empirical evidence has shown that this pre-emptive course of action is the best for me.
I mention this now because my very significant other doesn't seem to get the concept of early treatment to minimize the effects of a cold/flu. As a result, he picked up a plague that is firmly lodged in his chest and he likely already has bronchitis. Is it so difficult to say "make me your herbal stuff" at the very first hint? I understand that doing it himself is too daunting to consider, along with remembering to dose multiple times a day without a mommy reminder.
Those of you that have plaved this game before, let the pool start now on when I will get this so that I will be most uncomfortable and unable to breath during our Tucson vacation that starts on Thursday of next week. I loathe being so susceptible to bronchial problems.
*GRUMBLES* Please, please, please, body...do not let this crud creep into my lungs!!!!!!!
