Heather (my stepdaughter) sent me this today:"I missed my regular bus this morning and had to catch the later one. I sat next to an older guy and I saw he was crying. I asked him if he was OK. He told me he was crying because he just found out his son made the Pittsburgh Pirates. I guess he’s a pitcher and has wanted to play professional baseball since he was 5-years-old. His first game is opening day vs the Atlanta Braves. He ended up making me cry too. So don’t wish too hard for the Braves to win this first game. There’s a guy on the other team who would have some seriously proud parents if he did well."http://pittsburgh.pirates.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=457425
I love that she asked if he was ok.
Brian called to tell me he heard a story on NPR this morning during the Storycorps segment. It's about a guy who was mugged, but did something significant.
Makes me want to believe in good people.
