Work: I feel totally weighted down with work stuff today. Not my favorite flavor, but not horrible...just...weighty. Cool part is that I still love what I do. I feel like I'm working for a good company that is committed to helping the community, not to making a profit. Truth is, what we would call a 'profit' goes back into better interest rates and community service. We won't get rich working here, but we are an active part of making our community stronger. I honestly don't know why anyone would consider a bank over a full service credit union.
I'm excited that I will be learning a new cool thing today that none of our local competition has. I think it has a lot of potential to catch people's attention.
Family: Brian and I bought that Mac I posted about a few days ago. For Heather. I can't say that I've ever heard her sound so relieved and grateful. She's far more optimistic about her chances of landing another job soon now that she has an excellent tool at home to use for her portfolio. Her mother was telling her that she'd pay to move her back to Michigan, but there's little here for her for opportunities. She called both Brian and me individually to thank us. She kept saying that what we did for her shows her that we understand her and what she needs. I'd love to have her back here, but only if this is where she would be happiest, and I don't think that's the case.
Play: Must add something to this section soon, lest I become dull and vicious.
