I'm a HermeticGnostic, but mostly a kitchen witch (not Wiccan!) Constantly learning healing through herbalism. I am deeply spiritual, but anti-religious.
I spent many years in the computer networking industry managing large networks before closing that chapter of my life to pursue a dream. The dream was to open my own business dealing with herbs, essential oils, and hand made health and beauty items. I did this for 5 years. While I loved it, and all the people that made it wonderful, it wasn't a good way to earn a living. I spent a year figuring out what was next before giving in to my need to be both creative and technical. The job I have now blends both and I love what I do. They call me an Virtual Service Manager and Web Mistress. I write and maintain a website and all the electronic media (ATMs, Online Banking, LED signs and animated graphic marketing for the in-branch TVs and Kiosks)for a fantastic credit union. I also get to do some data analysis to keep my analytical mind sharp. It's the best of all worlds and I get to work from home 3 days a week.
Phase 3 is beginning. It involves a second home in Colorado to eventually be a retirement home.
Hobbies: * I spin my own yarn then knit it into wonderful custom garments * I carve wood, discovering what lays in the wood instead of preconceived plans. * I am a fine art black & white photographer, with a passion for figure study. * I target shoot with .22, .38, and 9mm pistols and revolvers. * I cook amazing meals and love to can summer vegetables for winter use. * Having written top selling technical books on Novell Netware, I am now writing a fiction novel along with many short stories.
I post an RSS feed to my photo blog here: 5thelementblog This is where I write about my hobbies and about cooking
